OTTO HECHT
Director of Warrior Experience
MGySgt, USMC (Ret)
Ask me about: how Warriors & Quiet Waters helps post-9/11 combat veterans find purpose, connection, and growth through experiences in nature.
Originally from the East Coast, Otto is a retired Marine Raider with 30 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served on combat deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia, as well as on other operational deployments throughout Southwest Asia and the Middle East. His operational and staff assignments included leadership positions in the Infantry, Marine Special Operations Command, and the Special Operations Directorate at Headquarters Marine Corps.
Otto earned his BS in Criminal Justice from Troy University and his MS in Strategic Leadership from the University of West Virginia. After retirement, he worked as a Strategic Planner and Special Operations Integrator within MARSOC and II MEF.
Now the Director of Warrior Experience at Warriors & Quiet Waters Foundation, Otto is passionate about helping post-9/11 combat veterans find purpose and connection through experiences in nature. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and exploring Montana’s outdoors with his wife, Kelly.
