John was born in Paris, France, to a Navy family and spent much of his childhood years living abroad.  Those early experiences shaped his desire to serve the military community as a career.  After spending seven years with a partner VSO non-profit, John made the jump over to WQW to pair his interests with his passions.  Regardless of location, John’s spot to recharge and recalibrate has always been the outdoors.  Living in Southwest Montana has only increased his penchant for adventure, whether that’s fishing, hunting, hiking, or backpacking.  John is proud to support WQW’s volunteers and to recognize them for what they are: the heartbeat of this organization.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Denison University in Granville, Ohio (Go Big Red!).  In his spare time, you can find John exploring SW MT, enjoying live music — especially Bluegrass, and hanging with his wife, Michelle, & their pet bunny, Earl.
