How La Cuisine Is giving big to SUPPORT veterans
Brett and Tina Cusker at La Cuisine
At La Cuisine, our heart has always been rooted in more than just food. From day one, we set out to build a space where people gather, learn, and find joy in the everyday rituals of cooking and sharing meals. But we also knew that our kitchen store and classroom could be something more—a platform for giving back to the community that we love. That’s why we are honored to announce our partnership with Warriors & Quiet Waters during this year’s Give Big Gallatin Valley on May 1–2.
Why Veterans Matter to Us
Supporting veterans is deeply personal for both Brett and Tina Cusker. As Montana locals and the founders of La Cuisine, we’ve seen firsthand the sacrifices military families make and the strength it takes to transition back into civilian life. Veterans represent the kind of grit, dedication, and resilience we embody every day. At La Cuisine, we believe that honoring their service means more than just words—it means showing up with action, support, and community.
Why This Partnership Matters
As a small business, we’ve always believed that what we do extends far beyond our store walls. We’ve hosted cooking classes to build confidence, curated gifts to delight, and created space for people to gather around food and friendship. But our ultimate goal has always been service—using our platform to uplift others.
Partnering with Warriors & Quiet Waters for Give Big allows us to serve those who have given so much. It also gives our customers and community a tangible way to be part of something bigger. Whether you stop by La Cuisine during Give Big, share our campaign online, or donate directly to WQW, you’re joining us in saying: We see you. We honor you. We thank you for your service.
A Bit About Us
La Cuisine was born from a dream to bring a touch of European-inspired warmth and hospitality to Bozeman. Founded by Brett and Tina Cusker—Montana natives with a passion for good food and good company—La Cuisine is a boutique kitchen store and culinary classroom. We feature thoughtfully curated tools and gifts from Europe and Montana, and we host cooking classes led by local chefs and food artisans to build confidence and creativity in the kitchen.
Before opening La Cuisine, Tina spent her career in K-12 education, the final 5 years as a professor at Montana State University in the College of Education. Brett, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, served 25 years on active duty and is now the Executive Director of TechLink in Bozeman. Their shared love for teaching, serving, and building community lives on in every part of La Cuisine’s mission.
How You Can Join Us
Leading up to May 1 and through the 2nd, we’re inviting our customers, friends, and community to Give Big with us. All donations made to Warriors & Quiet Waters during the Give Big campaign help provide life-changing experiences for veterans and their loved ones. In addition to the collected donations, we will personally give 10% of all profits on May 1-2.
Stop by La Cuisine during the campaign to learn more about WQW, make a donation, or share your own story of support. Let’s use our kitchens, our voices, and our hearts to give back in a meaningful way.
Together, we can make a difference—one meal, one moment, one veteran at a time.
