Justin is a U.S. Army Infantry Veteran, having served from 1997 to 2006. He deployed twice during his time in the military, serving in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt from 1999 to 2000, and in Samarra, Iraq, from 2004-2005. After his time in the military, he served his local community for 18 years as a Detective / Deputy Sheriff with the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office in Andover, MN, and medically retired from the Law Enforcement profession in June of 2021.

Since January of 2022, Justin now serves as the Director of Military & Charitable Programs for Winchester, VA – based Freedom Alliance, a non-profit organization that serves active duty servicemembers, veterans, and their families. Justin has additional non-profit experience working with the Veteran-led Disaster Response Organization, Team Rubicon USA. He has served in numerous volunteer leadership and contract roles while responding in the wake of Hurricanes, Floods, Tornadoes, and more.

Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, he now calls Spokane, Washington, his home with his wife, Loni, and their adventure pup, “Griffin”. An outdoor recreation enthusiast and chaos wrangler who loves to divide and conquer, he finds he is at his very best when helping others, especially the Military Veteran/First Responder community.
